South Miller is co-founder of the unusual puppetry company Les Sages Fous, whose productions have toured the globe, meeting with great success at over 75 international festivals held in 17 countries. Within the company, she is the creator of the puppets and is one of the principal puppeteer-actors. South Miller is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater, New York City. Jacob Brindamour has performed in more than 75 international puppetry and street theatre festivals in over 17 countries with the unusual puppetry company he co-founded called Les Sages Fous. As a performer, he uses masks, puppets and physical theatre to create a language that is both poetic and grotesque. The artist has perfected his passion with Paul-André Sagel (Ecole Jacques Lecoq), Eric Bass (Sandglass Theatre), Claire Danscoine (Theatre de la Licorne, Lille, France), Don Rieder and Mossoux-Bonté, to name a few.
The artists have many years of experience sharing their passion for theatre. South Miller has taught at the Children's Museum of Manhattan, the duo ran a theatre school as part of the Les Sages Fous company, and directed Les Sorties Culturelles at La maison de la culture de Trois-Rivières for four consecutive years (mask making, puppetry, theatre, street theatre and clowning workshops). Their Commedia Dell'arte workshop has been the pleasure of thousands of students under the “Artists at school” program. Each encounter is met with enthusiasm, contagious pleasure, and pertinent examples. Students find it stimulating to meet artists living their dream around the globe.
